The Palm Charity Foundation

We are here to offer Love, Safety, Nurture and Hope to those who have been affected by gender base violence

The Reality

A 2019 health survey revealed that 1 in 5 girls aged 15-19 in Kenya are pregnant or have already become mothers. This number has worsened since the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving countless young girls vulnerable, with many facing homelessness or unsafe environments. There are few safe havens for these young mothers, and the support systems they need are often non-existent.

Our Response:

Palm Ministries was born out of our co-founder Tammy’s personal encounters with these young girls. Having a background in crisis pregnancy support, she felt called to intervene. Since 2021, Palm Ministries has worked with young girls, providing them not just with immediate care but a vision for a hopeful future.

  • Safe Housing: We’ve successfully reconnected several girls with their families and provided others with essential living support, such as rent, food, and medical care.
  • Life Skills & Support: Palm Ministries offers trauma counseling, education support, and practical resources like diapers and food. Our aim is to break the cycle of poverty and give these young mothers a second chance at life.
  • Nurturing Future Generations: These mothers, who chose to give life despite their circumstances, now raise seven beautiful children. Palm Ministries is helping them navigate motherhood, and providing support to ensure their children have a better future.

A Vision for Change

Our vision is to create a safe place for teenage mothers—a place of love, care, and opportunity. By addressing both their physical needs and emotional trauma, we aim to give these young girls hope and help them reclaim their dreams.

We invite you to partner with Palm Ministries and help us continue this life-changing work. Together, we can give these girls and their children the opportunity for a brighter, more secure future.
